Comparing Hide and Seek, half past Two and Leaving schoolFor this essay I am going to comp be the talking to in trio verse forms andhow they show the persons feelings. These songs are Hide and Seekone-half past Two and Leaving instill.Hide and seek is written in a tertiary person eyeshot. The language isdescriptive, simple, atmospheric and childlike in the way that it usesincarnation (giving things human names). The meter suggests that itis in a 3rd person perspective by the use of the word you at the endof the poem. The end of the poem is in like manner very sad and lonely, enhancedby the darkness described. each these factors together produce a dark,lonely and upsetting fashion, these factors are tardily shown by thechilds character which is soft, small, frightened and substantially upsetfrom the description that we get.Half past Two is also written in a ordinal person perspective. Thelanguage and viewpoint of the entire poem is that of a preteen childspoint of view , this is shown in the language. The language shows thisby its simplicity, its child like delivery and the way that the writerputs words together with no spaces.The language also has some rhyming words in it. The childs characteris simple, he knows what he knows, but thats it and he showsinnocence in the way he thinks. The conception is not really set because thedescription does not include the weather, of a descriptive setting butwe get a confused and fright mood from the confused child. Thestructure is simple with some italic makeup to create emphasis andthe writer uses 3 lined stanzas.Leaving School is written in a first person perspective and thelanguage is a lot more complicated but still easily understood thelanguage in the poem is also very emotional. The poem is slightly a boythat is missing home and is easily upset, the poem also gives use afeeling that he is being pressure to grow up to fast, because of some ofthe simple things he is worried about and the things he g ets wrong. Atthe end of the poem the child keeps on planless in to his ownimaginary world and also shows his lack of confidence.
